Latest screenshots looking better.... but still no details on integrated server browser, integrity checks and other useful player interface features.
It remains to be seen whether the new 'game' will focus on Squadron play or remain the domain of bit torrent airquakers.
More videos should have been released by now ..... so interpret that as you will.

Scale and visibility settings are still a problem.
Main issues are still revolving around the lower standard of game design as opposed to modern titles. Think 2004 instead of 2010-2011.

Players with better hardware configurations look to be punished again in this series as they were in IL2. Dialup and netbook users rejoice :/

After forum debacles and the sucess of the 'graphics' of wings of prey, dev team is in super protection mode. Everyone is enemy.
Oleg has taken a firmer hand but his true love is photography.

Who can blame him with so many idiots looking to throw it at him no matter what.

Propoganda campaign has come into full force ..... with the recruitment of both high and low postcount newbs to extole the virtues of upcoming 'game'.
Aliasing in particular has reached an all time high.... many would be shocked to know who's ip belongs to what name heheh !!!
Wireshark is a friend of the 13th.

Hyperlobby development has taken major steps forward, in preparation for release. This can only be seen as a net negative by experienced pilots who want an integrated system.

Expectations for hardware performance continue to be lowered. Propoganda says because it will be so 'graphically intensive'.
More intelligent observers claim that it is because of crap coding. You decide.

Observations
Experienced pilots reporting they don't see a 'new game' they see warmed over IL2.
Will they buy S.o.W .... likely. Will they pay full price for it ..... or will they torrent it like 75% of those left flying now. Remains to be seen.
I won't be flying/buying it till its half price. Which will be about 2 months after release.

Sqn News
We continue to explore Lock On Flaming Cliffs 2 and are becoming more impressed with it as a 'survey sim'. Upcoming release of DCS A-10 Warthog promises to bring many new improvements including a 64bit client -- nice ! Integrated serverbrowser and pilot chat tools/friends lists ect are CONFIRMED. The New Thrustmaster A-10 Warthog Hotas looks pretty good, but still no multirole figher = boring. dead multiplayer.
Xifos has taken the lead on the Jet Simulations and is pushing hard for the formation of a new Jet Sqn, he is flying a lot and has recruited quite a few North American Hellenic pilots. Construction o fthe site has started. Standby.

We are diving deeply into Falcon 4.0 in both the Allied Force and Open Falcon 4.7 variants. Quite immersive.

Dedicated Server has been moved to New York City. More news on that shortly. Stats pages and other work is still in place.

S~! Well we finally have a new update. It is currently Work In Progress ..... however it is better than anything we have seen to date. This video gives some hope that Oleg and his crew are finally listening. Whats New: Dynamic Lighting and some other elements if you are smart enough to spot them Whats Old: Ridiculous overbuffeting/headshake from IL2 Same washed out textures styles from IL2 Ground textures are crap IL2 style but these are 'placeholders' Conclusion: Oleg finally getting his thumb out. Yes Oleg you can hate me ..... I still have love for you Ruskie :D

The 13th Hellenic Squadron is an online Virtual Combat Squadron which is based on the real 13th Hellenic Squadron that took part in WWII from April 1941 until the end of the war. The unit performed magnificently far from home while Greece was occupied by the Italians and the Germans. The 13th Hellenic Squadron distinguished itself with great skill, courage and valor under tremendously difficult circumstances. We are indeed humbled by their sacrifice. All of our staff & pilots are incredibly proud and honored to carry the 13th's banner. They shall never be forgotten!

Decomissioned until the release of Storm of War.
